Meet Paulina Rosales
1.Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, my name is Paulina, I am from Guatemala and I am currently in my first year of architecture.
2.Why UNAV?
I always wanted to study abroad and when I started searching for Universities I learned that UNAV has a very strong and prestigious program of architecture.
3.What were your expectations when coming and where they fulfilled?
My expectations when coming where lot of nights without sleeping because of hard working and they have been fulfilled because I have been studying very hard.
4.What do you wish you had known before coming?
I wish I had known that the drawing skills here were so advanced because I would’ve taken lessons previously.
5.What has been your biggest impact since arriving?
Missing my family and friends so much and being away from them for such a long time.
6.What was your major setback when applying?
The process of "homologacion" because it was super long and confusing.
7.What are three essential tips you would give newcomers?

Be prepared to miss the food at home, be open minded about it

Be prepared to have fun and meet people from other countries

Bring a lot of warm and cozy clothes
8. What are some outside sources that have helped you in your classes?
I have taken a lot of tutoring classes for math and physics and also Khan Academy
9. What are some expectations the career had such as the amount of time it consumes, the projects or other things?
In architecture you are expected to be very devoted. You cannot rush things, you have to take your time and finish it perfectly.
