1.Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I am from Barranquilla, Colombia. I am an international student here at UNAV, and I like to write sometimes.

2.Why UNAV?

While I was trying to pick any university, everything started directioning here. I started looking for very good universities for journalism here in Spain, my dad helped me, then a friend told me he had the contact of the delegate of UNAV in Colombia, and along with all the story, I like the book the sun also rises from Ernest Hemingway, which has to do with pamplona, so I decided to come here.

3.What were your expectations when coming and where they fulfilled?

When it come to the university all my expectations have been fulfilled. The classes, the faculty, the teachers, the people, everything is awesome.

4.What do you wish you had known before coming?

How to save money. How to cook. I’ve been developing chef skills since now I live in a piso. Also be more organized with the schedules, and the importance of sleeping early.

5.What has been your biggest impact since arriving?

They’ve told me that spanish people were tough, but nobody has been rude to me, and that’s nice. And also the difference in the food, which is good in some ways, and bad in others.

6.What was your major setback when applying?

Paperwork.

7.What are three essential tips you would give newcomers?

1.Try to take advantage in a good way of all the opportunities that the university gives you.

2.When it comes to the people that are involved in it, there are many international students so make many friends.

3.Don't be scared to be teachers pet, not exactly teachers pet but talk to them, they are pretty cool.

8. What are some outside sources that have helped you in your classes?

Definitely my teachers and friends have been the best outside source!

9. What are some expectations the career had such as the amount of time it consumes, the projects or other things?

The expectations the career had aren't very tough, but I feel there is a lot of content. So if you learn to organise yourself you will have a great time here in FCOM.
